February was a busy month for the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MSAVHCC) as membership continued to grow while members were hard at work hosting networking events and constructing their entry in the 2016 edition of Savannah's world-famous St. Patrick's Day Parade. According to MSAVHCC President, Alfonso Ribot, the chamber is working closely with members of Savannah legislative delegation to create new import/export partnerships with Latin American countries.
“It's only natural that all the business people in our group who speak Spanish as their first language should be recognized as an untapped resource for Savannah's international trade community,” Ribot said. “We also plan to work closely with leaders of Savannah's tourism industry to promote Savannah as a premier destination for Latin American tourists.”
March promises to be a very busy month for the Chamber. In addition to preparing for the St. Patrick's celebration, the Hispanic Chamber will host an OSHA “worker safety” seminar on March 1st; a monthly business breakfast on Tuesday, March 15, from 7:45 a.m. To 9:00 a.m.; and the March Hispanic Chamber Entrepreneur Series on March 21, from 6:00 p.m. To 8:00 p.m..
